Daily diet - 190613

Today marks the 9th day of my new diet regime. Unexpectedly, I have stuck well to my plan and I plan to continue doing so. Right now, my daily breakfast and lunch meals consist of the following food items:

1) Chicken breast meat
2) Enoki
3) Xiaobaicai/Beansprouts whichever I feel like having
4) Cabbage
5) Eggs (including egg yolk) but not everyday
6) Taukwa

The benefits of such a meal are that it is rich in protein which helps sustain my other goal of body sculpting/building/fat loss, low in low-density-lipoprotein and high in high-density-lipoprotein content, and the large serving of vegetables ensures that I stay pretty full for most of the day. The greatest benefit is perhaps the amount of time I can save on meals. It usually takes around 25 to 30 minutes for me to prepare this meal because all I have to do is to wash the ingredients and boil them in a pot. No salt, no condiments, and no pepper required - you get to taste your food in its pristine state. Not unbearable for a person who has grown up eating occasional meals cooked by his dad who doesn't add salt as well.

During the day and in between meals, I would snack on fruits if I were to feel hungry. Dinner has been replaced by a protein shake with no-sugar-added soy milk as the solvent. The whey protein powder now serves as my only source of cholesterol and I am thinking of ways to cut this out as well. However, if it were to stay, it will only contribute 30 mg of cholesterol which I guess isn't too much to stomach.

Here is a picture of what I have been eating for the past 9 days. ^^
